Whenever the subject of chemicals in everyday household items arises, there is nothing Francine becomes more passionate about! For a very good reason. She became concerned about minimizing chemical exposure because of her brother’s untimely death at a young age from a rare form of bone cancer known to be caused by toxic chemical exposure. He worked for a number of years as a Chemical Engineer in a semi-conductor plant. After his death, Francine made it her life’s mission to learn about any potentially hazardous chemicals contained in everyday products and how those products can affect the human body. Traveling as a consultant for work, she became interested and concerned about the small plastic travel bottles and type of plastic was used to make them. Sometimes it wasn’t clear what they were made of and those bottles were annoying to use, clean and were difficult to fill. The concept of Airsafe Carryon was born!
